Philosophy
Dr. Sage Humphries believes that patient and parent education and engagement a critical portion of orthodontic treatment. As such, he spends considerably more time than most orthodontists explaining treatment. For each patient he reviews all of the orthodontic problems and all of the treatment options, as well as the pros and cons and risks and benefits of each option, available. From your very first experience with our office you will notice the quality of our service.
Complimentary Intraoral and Extraoral Photographs
We have found it is much easier to understand the nature of the orthodontic problems if you can see them first hand. That is why we take complimentary photos so you can see the problems for yourself. It is only with a complete understanding of the problems that you can effectively weight the pros and cons as well as risks and benefits to the various treatment options.
Complimentary Radiographs
During your exam we aim to provide a definitive treatment plan. In order to devise your individualized treatment plan it is essential that we conduct a radiographic survey. We offer complimentary panoramic X-rays in our offices to all prospective orthodontic patients.
Chair-side Examination
Once your photographs and X-ray have been taken, Dr. Humphries will conduct a chair-side examination in order to complete his diagnosis. It is at this time that we record orthodontic measurements in order to quantify your specific orthodontic problems.
Case Presentation
The case presentation is where our exam really stands out. Dr. Humphries uses computerized models in a custom tailored presentation to explain orthodontic ideal. He then compare and contrast the photos of your teeth to ideal. Finally, he will review the modalities available to resolve each problem and his recommendations for you. By the end, he will outline the specifics of your individualized orthodontic treatment plan.
